The Story

Founded in 2018 in the prestigious Terrasses du Larzac (Montpeyroux), Domaine Flo Busch is the fruit of a partnership between Florian, a Geisenheim-trained winemaker from the renowned Moselle estate Clemens Busch, and Paola, a former health-export professional turned herbalist. Combining Florian’s deep viticultural roots with Paola’s passion for traditional medicinal plants, the duo transformed a modest 0.35-hectare plot into a thriving 9-hectare polyculture estate.

Their journey is a family affair, mirrored by the growth of their children, Ulysse and Vicky, who inspire the spirit of the domain. From their debut cuvée, “Heureux qui comme…”—which pays homage to their Moselle origins—to the vibrant “La vie qui chante,” the estate blends fine winemaking with over fifty species of aromatic herbs, creating a living ecosystem where vines and nature grow in harmony.

Philosophy

Working the land organically and biodynamically has always been an obvious choice for us. From the very beginning, we adopted cultivation practices that promote soil life and biodiversity. We maintain "spontaneous" grass cover for much of the year, adjusted according to water availability. Certain plots are sown with green manure to ensure healthy ground cover, provide organic matter (such as composted cow manure), and enhance soil life and the presence of beneficial insects. Our interventions are always guided by direct observation and specific needs.

To strengthen our vines, we apply compost, biodynamic preparations, and plant-based infusions (horsetail, nettle, etc.) or hydrosols (bay laurel).
Scattered throughout the estate, we also co-plant various fruit trees—ranging from goji berries and Provence jujubes to Roussillon apricots—alongside drought-resistant aromatic plants.

Finally, our harvests are carried out entirely by hand, allowing us to combine positive human energy with a deep respect for living organisms, ensuring a precise selection of maturity that captures the natural expression of the terroir.

The Vineyard: Domaine FloBusch

Established in 2018, Domaine Flo Busch is a boutique estate characterised by its commitment to ecological harmony and diverse terroir.
The estate spans 9 hectares, with 8 hectares dedicated to viticulture and an additional hectare reserved for olives and aromatic plants, fostering a rich polycultural environment. The vineyards are situated on a complex geological foundation of limestone scree, rounded pebbles (galets roulés), and quartz, which provides excellent drainage and mineral depth to the fruit.
Driven by a philosophy of sustainability, the estate is fully certified in Organic Agriculture (Ecocert) and adheres to the rigorous standards of Demeter (biodynamic) farming, ensuring that every bottle is a true reflection of its living soil.
