Impact Report: Tracking the Transition

Vivan launched one month ago with a single mission: to fix a broken wine system. We don’t just sell wine; we manage a transition. Because we are a not-for-profit co-operative, every bottle you buy is a direct investment in the planet and its people.

Since we are just beginning our journey, this report outlines our Projected Impact for our first year based on our current member estates.

1. G is for GENS (People & Equity)

Goal: To move money away from middlemen and back to the people who tend the land.

  • Sustaining Human Craft: We support 15 independent family farms. By prioritising manual work over big machines, we help keep 45 people employed in rural villages where jobs are disappearing (SDG 8).

  • Gender Equity: We are tracking toward our goal of 50% female-led estates, ensuring women have equal power and pay in the wine industry (SDG 5).

2. P is for PLANÈTE (Ecological Integrity)

Goal: To prove that vineyards can heal the Earth, not hurt it.

  • The 4% Resistance: We currently protect 52 hectares from the industrial pesticide cycle. On these lands, we use zero synthetic chemicals, protecting local water and wildlife (SDG 15).

  • Carbon Farming: By using regenerative "no-dig" methods, our member farms are projected to sequester up to 11 Mg of CO2 per hectare this year—actively helping to cool the planet (SDG 13).

3. S is for SANTÉ (Radical Transparency)

Goal: To ensure you know exactly what is inside your glass.

  • Living Wine: Conventional wine can contain hundreds of hidden additives. We verify every bottle for purity. 98% of our wines contain up to 10 times fewer sulfites than the legal limit, reducing "wine headaches" and supporting your health.

  • Radical Honesty: By 2026, every bottle will carry a non-tracking QR code showing the full ingredient list and the soil health data of the vineyard (SDG 12).

Looking Ahead: The 2030 Horizon

We are just getting started. Our goal is to transition 5,000 hectares of European land to fully regenerative sanctuaries by 2030.
