Work with us

We want co-owners of a better world.

Vivan is not a normal business. We are a non-profit, FCA-regulated cooperative. We do not answer to rich corporate shareholders or venture capitalists.

Our mission is simple: We exist to serve our independent winemaker members and our conscious customers. Everything we do is designed to take the stress off small winemakers so they can focus on saving their soil and to deliver unadulterated, living wine to our drinkers.

If you are a highly motivated individual who believes a better world is possible, we want you on the ground with us.

From Volunteer to Co-Owner

Because we are a young, grassroots cooperative, we rely heavily on the energy of passionate volunteers to help us scale our impact. But we have a strict, transparent rule about how we grow our team:

  • Step 1: Volunteer & Create Value. You bring your unique skills—whether that is code, design, storytelling, community management, or logistics—to help the collective.

  • Step 2: Hiring Priority. When Vivan creates a new paid position, we hire our volunteers first. Once a volunteer creates tangible value for the collective, they become our absolute priority for a paid contract. No outside corporate headhunters. We reward the people who showed solidarity first.

  • Step 3: Become an Employee Member. Once you are a paid employee, you have the right to become an official employee-member of the cooperative. This means you get an equal democratic vote in how Vivan is run. One person, one vote.

A Great Place to Work

We want Vivan to be a sanctuary of health, freedom, and deep human connection. Once you join our paid staff, you unlock a workplace culture built around true flexibility:

  • The 4-Day Work Week: We do not believe in burnout culture. We work hard, efficiently, and then we rest. You get 3 full days off every single week to recharge your life.

  • Work from Anywhere: Complete location independence. As long as you have an internet connection and protect your responsibilities to the collective, you can work from a cottage in Scotland, an apartment in London, or a cafe in Spain.

  • Ultimate Flexibility: We don't watch clock-in timers. You control your hours so you can show up for your family, your physical health, and your mental well-being.

  • In the Dirt (Vineyard Visits & Wine Salons): You won't just look at spreadsheets. You will spend time travelling directly to Europe's most beautiful, biodiverse vineyards. You will stand in the cellars with winemakers like Katya and Flo, travel to natural wine salons, and taste the direct results of our collective work.

🎯 Are you ready to build the collective?

We don’t care about fancy corporate buzzwords or traditional resumes. We care about your drive, your skills, and your alignment with our Theory of Change.

If you want to use your time on this planet to disrupt a predatory industry and protect living agriculture, we want to hear from you.
