At Clos Costela, the winemaking philosophy is strictly low-intervention, designed to let their high-altitude Penedès terroir speak entirely for itself.

Harvested from regeneratively farmed, living soils, the pristine grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation driven solely by native yeasts.
Whether it's employing gentle, short skin-contact for their whites in stainless steel or allowing the wine to patiently rest and evolve in oak barrels, every step is handled with a delicate, hands-off approach.
The final wines are bottled completely unfined and unfiltered, with absolutely zero added sulfites—resulting in vibrant, energetic, and unapologetically pure expressions of their Catalan mountain roots.

We make wines with minimal intervention. We harvest the grapes by hand, in small boxes, pampering the fruit. Fermentations flourish spontaneously with the native yeasts of the vineyard, unique and magical: they transform the juice into a different and authentic wine
We do it this way because what we like most is for the grapes to express themselves as they are, without constraints.
