L'impact :

⛰️ Scale: Historic, varied plots across South Tyrol, including old-vine sites in Gries, Lake Caldaro, St. Pauls, and high-altitude slopes in Tirolo sitting 400 to 600 meters above sea level.

🤝 Human Impact: Crafted by Christoph and Joachim Unterhofer. Christoph began making low-intervention Lagrein in 2003 alongside local natural winemakers, with Joachim later joining to manage the domain together.

🌱 Philosophy: Farming organically since 1996. In the cellar, they guide the fruit with minimal intervention—relying on spontaneous yeast fermentation, natural malolactic fermentation, and physical gravity sedimentation to keep the wine as genuine as possible.

🌳 Biodiversity: They view their land as a shared habitat with local animal life, relying on natural fauna to keep the vineyard ecosystem in balance and respecting nature's full cycle. They also preserve ancient, deep-rooted vines planted as early as 1920.

L'histoire

Christoph started making wine from his Lagrein Grapes in 2003. He began producing with other low-intervention winemakers of our region to learn the practice and collect experience in the sector.
Joachim started to join the work process more and more, then joined the reality as a winemaker completely.

Philosophie

The idea of making natural wines grew with the idea of working the agriculture organically. To respect nature and the results of nature that we are allowed to work with, we share the soils and the land and the plants on which we are working with a huge amount of animals, and they even help us to keep the system in balance. Therefore, it's our mission to respect the circle of nature in all our lands.
In the cellar, we are observing the natural processes of our grapes, such as spontaneous fermentation, malolactic fermentation and physical sedimentation.
So the grape comes as genuine as possible from the vine to the bottle and in the glass.

Le vignoble : Reyter

Reyter has been producing since 1996 in an organic way; in 2003, the first labels were produced from Lagrein: Lakrez and Rahm.
All the Lagrein grapes come from Gries, maybe the best area for the Lagrein vineyards planted between 1960 and 1990 Porphyde soil).
The Schiava Grapes grow in the area of Lake Caldaro, planted between 1920 and 1940 (Limestone Gravel).
Chardonnay is grown in the area of St. Pauls.
The grapes of the Pierrot come from Tirolo over Merano between 400 and 600 meters above sea level.
