Meet Katya De Cazenove :

Environmental sustainability and creative freedom guide every gesture. The estate is certified organic, and every grape is harvested by hand. In the cellar, I practice minimal intervention—utilising indigenous yeasts with no fining or filtration—to allow the land to speak for itself.

I view the estate as a vast field of experimentation. As new grape varieties come into production each year, the possibilities expand. This creative energy results in about ten distinct cuvées annually, each one a unique vibration of a specific grape variety and the terroir it inhabits.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order?

Minimum order is 6 bottles, and multiples of 6.

For example, you can order 6, 12, or 18 bottles since each case of wine contains six bottles.

What is the return policy?
  • Flaws and Quality: We stand behind our winemakers. Returns are only accepted if the wine has a genuine flaw, such as being corked or oxidised. If you find a faulty bottle, let us know immediately—we will refund the full amount, including shipping costs.
  • A Matter of Taste: If the wine is technically perfect but simply isn't to your taste, please give it to a friend! Wine is subjective, and what one person finds "untamed," another might find "vibrant."
  • Our Promise: We personally taste and select every wine in the coop. We are confident in their quality and deliciousness.
  • Need Advice? To avoid any surprises, we encourage you to read the community reviews or chat with us before you buy. We love helping you find the bottle that fits your palate!
Why does delivery takes so long?

At Vivan!, we don’t use industrial warehouses or giant logistics hubs. We are proudly Slow Wine. Here is why your bottles might take a few extra days to arrive:

  • Direct from the Source: Your wine is packed and shipped directly from the winemaker’s own cellar. There is no middleman sitting in a warehouse; it’s the person who made the wine who is often the one taping the box.
  • Nature Comes First: Our winemakers are often working solo. Their priority is the life of the vineyard, the health of the soil, and the precision of the cellar. If it’s harvest time or a critical moment for the vines, they are in the fields, not behind a shipping desk.
  • Cutting Costs, Not Quality: By shipping directly from the farm, we eliminate the massive overhead costs of third-party distributors and storage facilities. This allows us to keep the prices fair for you and ensures that more of your money goes directly back into regenerative farming.
  • Low Carbon Footprint: Skipping the "extra stop" at a warehouse means fewer miles traveled and a smaller carbon footprint for every bottle.

The result? You get a vibrant, artisan wine that hasn't been sitting under fluorescent lights in a depot, delivered at the best possible value. We believe real wine is worth the wait!

How do you calculate the price of a bottle?

At Vivan!, we believe in honest pricing. Unlike traditional retailers, we don't hide costs or inflate margins. Here is how your money is put to work:

  • Direct Value: Because we don't spend money on expensive advertising campaigns or middlemen, almost every penny you pay goes directly into the quality of the wine and the health of the soil.
  • Fair Cooperative Model: All profits stay within the cooperative. We exist to support our winemakers and the planet, not to pay off external shareholders.
  • Transparent Margins: To keep the cooperative running (website, logistics, and support), we take a modest commission of between 10% and 20%. In the wine industry, this is exceptionally low—traditional distributors often take 35% to 50%.
  • Honesty about Customs: Shipping across borders (especially to the UK) involves taxes. You will find the official customs invoice attached to your box. We have nothing to hide: if you want to know exactly how much was paid in duties for your order, just ask us. We believe you have the right to know where every cent goes.

By choosing Vivan!, you are choosing a short, fair circuit that prioritizes the producer's survival and the consumer's health over corporate profit.

No investors, a cooperative? What does that have to do with me?

Actually, it has everything to do with the wine in your glass. Here is why our "No Investor" model is better for you:

  • Quality over Quarterly Profits: Traditional companies have investors who demand higher profits every three months. This often leads to cutting corners—using cheaper grapes, adding chemicals to speed up production, or squeezing the winemakers.
  • The Land is our Boss: Since we are owned and led by the winemakers, our "shareholders" are the vines and the soil. Our only goal is to produce the healthiest, most vibrant wine possible, because that is what ensures our long-term survival.
  • You Get a Fair Price: We don't have to "inflate" prices to pay out dividends to wealthy bankers. Every Euro or Pound you spend goes into the bottle and the regenerative farming techniques that heal the planet.
  • Radical Transparency: We don't answer to a board of directors; we answer to you. This allows us to be 100% honest about our margins, our costs, and our methods.

In short, when there are no investors, the winemaker wins, and the customer wins. You get a better product, at a more honest price, with a clear conscience.
